Spring clean your jewelry box –and recycle your ‘unwanteds’ into new!

Spring is upon us and for many, that means sorting through closets, getting rid of unworn and outdated clothing as the season changes.

So — why not do the same thing with your jewelry?

What I tell my clients is to bring me everything they don’t wear any more and let me show you what can be done. Let me turn your old pieces into new that each tell a story.  Bringing together generations of wedding or engagement rings into something for a new bride… or recycle inherited pieces into something new and exciting, but with meaning and sentiment.

Look through your jewelry box for items you’ve never worn, outdated styles, and perhaps items that just don’t suit you. Bring in sterling silver, platinum, 14k, 18k or 24k rose, white or yellow gold — even sterling flatware — and we’ll buy it. This is what helps you “recycle” and pay for your new pieces, or just get some cash in your pocket.

With the price of gold and platinum hovering around $1,700 an ounce and silver at $32 an ounce, you may find your old jewelry is worth quite a bit more than you thought. Trade in the precious metals and save your gemstones to be redesigned into a new piece, or keep your trade and spend it on something new and fashionable.
