Marc Aronstam on custom engagement & wedding rings

One of my favorite custom design scenarios is to design engagement and wedding rings. That’s because I feel strongly that these rings are much more than a promise to love and cherish for a lifetime. I believe custom engagement rings and wedding bands offer a look inside the soul, the story and the partnership of the couple.

Yes, some couples can find just what they are looking for in the many styles available from the hundreds of designers that specialize in diamond rings and wedding bands. But others want something unique.

I love it when a couple comes in because they want their unique story told in the design of their bands. They want to see something of their background, their families, their journey together, in the rings. When I hear this, I’m all ears. I want to hear the story, see the gem stone they are considering (cushion cut and Asscher cut diamonds are gaining popularity as are sapphire engagement rings), and learn as much as I can about the two people getting married.
