Ancients Collection

I keep a modest collection of old coins and seals. I think they’re cool, and I seek out ones that are more unusual because of their provenance or because I appreciate their visual appeal.

My Ancients Collection goes hand-in-hand with my Roma Collection and pairs well with designers such as Kurtulan and Steven Battelle. The Ancients Collection differs from the Roma Collection in that instead of simply making jewelry after a traditional style, I incorporate actual artifacts from the period in the jewelry. Sometimes I’ll cast replicas of the coins in 18k yellow gold or sterling silver, I use the actual coins – some of which are over 2000 years old – every once in a while.

Like the coins, the seals in my collection are often sourced from Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. I usually make imprints of the seals and cast them in precious metal. Sometimes I’ll juxtapose the casting against the actual seal that created it. I can even use larger cylinder seals to literally roll out the design and have that cast into a cuff bracelet.

Custom-made jewelry can be one-of-a-kind, but if you’re looking for something seriously cool and unique, I’d recommend you come in and check out my Ancients Collection. We can talk about using genuine artifacts or replicas, and how best to create a piece of jewelry that is a reflection of your personality and style.
